Womens Conference
Navrongo, Ghana
The Upper East and Upper West regions of the BCA held a Womens Conference in Navrongo.
There were 240+ women that came, and it was such a fabulous week!
I am certain that over half of the women there had a child with them, so there were many cute
kids running around!
A woman even gave birth early one morning during the conference!
This little cutie was so funny. Everytime she would walk by and see the white people, we would smile at her
and she would paste on this big cheesy grin. She kept us laughing all week!
This is Pastor Stephen, the BCA President. He was the main speaker for the conference, covering
issues such as submitting to your husband.
Boy, do these women love to dance! Every chance they were given they were dancing. They even had a
song specifically for us white people, and we all had to come up front and dance their traditional dances...
we gave them something to laugh about alright!
Lydia is having a great time during one of the dances.

Stella and her son Michael listen to the speaker in one of the workgroups held in the afternoon sessions.

As the conference ended, some women piled into the back of Ruby's truck to catch a ride.
The conference was a definite success! It was so wonderful to spend time with them and watch them grow in their
excitement about God and their relationship with their husband! Many women commented on how things were going to be different
now at home. The husbands have also commented to the Missionaries about the wonderful change they have seen in their wives!
When the women were getting off of their buses in their villages, they were found still singing and dancing all the way home!
Praise the Lord for this conference and pray that they continue to walk with Him!
