Baking with Lydia
Chiana, Ghana
Meet Lydia. She is the house help for an SIM missionary in Chiana. I was invited to her compound one morning
as her and her friends were baking cakes for a graduation celebration.
Even her husband Jacob got into the action!
As cupcake pans were being filled, the dog patiently waited under the chair!
Here is Lydia's oven: A box of wood lined with tin. They put two grills filled with
charcoal underneath, and it works wonderfully! Since this is probably one of the only ovens in
Chiana, Lydia is keeping busy baking for all sorts of occasions.
Cinnomon cupcakes... and they were so good!
