Christmas '05/NewYears

Accra, Ghana

Well this Christmas was definitely different than any other I have had- namely, I was able to
wear my bathing suit outside in December! Sherri had arrived back from Language School and
we had made ourselves a very busy schedule for Christmas time. One of which was to
visit the swimming pool at a local hotel. It was a beautiful day, and bless her heart, Sherri spent most of the
afternoon re-teaching me to dive. I think I made many improvements that afternoon, but she would still
laugh at me because my right leg has an issue of straightening out!

On New Year's Eve we dragged Teresa to the beach with us- it was wonderful!

We spent the day riding the waves on the boogie boards (or trying to!)

That evening we had a New Year's Eve party at the SIM Guesthouse with many SIMer's and
added family and friends! At midnight it is customary to light fireworks, so we spent time outside watching the sky.
