Friends, Animals, etc.

Three Iowa girls on camels in Niger. Who knew!?

This was my favorite part! It was funny because my camel sat down, and before I
could get off, stood up again! So I got a free "ride!" Hold on tight!

Yeah buddy, I know how you feel.

You guys sick of my self portraits yet? ;)
Speaking of which... small tragedy this week- these are my $2 sunglasses bought in
Ghana. These things are SWEET-- they are so dark that the African sun is like a small flashlight
with these on. Not to mention you can't see where I am looking as I walk down the street!
Anywho, sigh..... this week they were in my backpack while I played softball in Niamey, and when
I opened my bag after the game I found them cracked in half. SAD! Maybe I could get a piece of
duct tape to fix the problem! I'd be REALLY cool then! ;)

Ok, I need to introduce you to my favorite African insect so far. I never thought I
would say this, but this insect/spider/beetle... whatever it is, is soooo cool! Yes, its bright
red, and only comes out after it rains.... and it is velvet! It is so cute, and soft- the missionary kids love
collecting them after it rains!
