Now let me introduce you to SIMAIR! SIMAIR has been serving SIM Missionaries in
Niger and West Africa for 50 years!
Currently the plane they are flying is a Piper Saratoga, which seats six, including the pilot.
SIMAIR not only helps safely transport SIM missionaries throughout the vast country of
Niger, but they are also called upon in case of medical evacuations.

On this medical evacuation, SIMAIR flew the three hours to Agadez (a 12 hour drive from Niamey)
to evacuate someone who was sick.

Here the plane is coming into Galmi, where the Mission Hospital is located. They have
their own airstrip right behind the hospital.
Kids come running to watch the action!
The group prays before takeoff.
SIMAIR has recently bought a Cessna 182 which they are planning on being converted to
a diesel engine, which would save $72,000 USD each year on fuel. The Saratoga is
a good plane, but the cost of Aviation Gas it uses continues to rise, and is becoming more scarce.
They have already bought the plane, but are lacking the $80,000 USD needed to make the
engine conversion. We are looking for funds to come in quickly, so that things can continue
to move along in the process, since the airplane is undergoing minor modifications such as radios, etc. to
better equip it for work in Niger. After these modifications are made, and the remaining $80,000
has come in, it will be sent to California for the conversion, and then on to Africa to be
put to work immediately.
Air travel in Niger is a safe and time effective option for missionaries travelling throughout the
country. But the price of gas for the current plane makes the trip unaffordable to the missionaries.
This diesel engine plane, on a routine trip to Galmi, will drop costs from $500 to $120!
We are looking for partners to join SIMAIR in this major turning point of their history-
