Dengoni Water Project
One of the men from Dengoni Village explaining their water situation. SIM came and dug two wells
for them recently, but one is very low on water, and the other is too deep for the woman to draw from.
Two men draw from the deepest well, 57 feet deep. Currently there is 13 meters of water available, but the women
are not strong enough to draw from it, so they have been walking back to their old source of water.

This small pond of water is their other source of drinking water. As you can see it is not clean. There are also eight other
villages drawing from this same pond, which means that it will probably be gone before the dry season is over, leaving another water problem.
